Pantano de Quéntar (Quéntar Dam)
The Quéntar Dam was inaugurated on May, 11, 1976. It is located in the Bermejales and Castillejos Hills.

Its wall is 100 m high and it has a capacity of 13 1/2 million cubic meters. The construction of this dam has not only provided Granada with water and electricity but it has also ended with the floods that every year inundated the fields by the river.

Quéntar Dam is also provided with a leisure area which you can reach through Tocón road or through the Wall's road. One of the most attractive things here (specially for children) is the beautiful pond full of brightly coloured fish. But maybe the area where most people spend their time is in the entrance of the road to the dam. This is a barbecue and pic-nic area (where you can also find a fountain) in which milling stones work as tables and some rocks as comfortable chairs.

It is not one of the highest points but the precipice that you can observe is quite impressive. The Puntal de la Morena is one of the peaks which go around the edge of the Quéntar Dam. On one of its slopes, you can find the Pigeon's Cove. It is a hollow on the slope of the hill that ends at the bottom of the valley.

Source of the river Aguas Blancas
Right by the source of the river there is an outdoor barbecue area where you can enjoy a day in the countryside.

Encarnación Church
Built in 1582, it consists of a central nave, three lateral chapels, one altar, the belfry and the sacristy. The high altar, in Baroque style, is crowned by a cupola while the people are sheltered by a carved wooden ceiling. The lateral chapels and the belfry were refurbished in 1653.
